Care & maintenance

Ceramic cutters still need proper maintenance. Brush out hair, clean with a suitable blade cleaner, dry thoroughly and oil the moving contact surfaces as instructed. Protect the ceramic teeth from knocks and replace any chipped or damaged cutter.

Prepare a clean, dry, brushed-out coat. Use light pressure, check blade temperature often and allow cooling breaks. Stop if the blade pulls, snags or has damaged teeth.

Which length should I start with?

Choose for the coat condition and the finish you want, not just the blade number. Start longer if you are unsure and work on a clean, dry, brushed-out coat. Ask VUNRO if you need help choosing a suitable blade.

Do these blades need oiling?

When should I service or replace a blade?
